The Book of Psalms Psalm 92

Douay-Rheims · Challoner revision

Challoner’s heading

Dominus regnavit.

Psalm 92 in the Vulgate numbering this edition follows; Psalm 93 in the Hebrew numbering of most modern Bibles.

1The Lord hath reigned, he is clothed with beauty: the Lord is clothed with strength, and hath girded himself. For he hath established the world which shall not be moved. 2My throne is prepared from of old: thou art from everlasting. 3The floods have lifted up, O Lord: the floods have lifted up their voice. The floods have lifted up their waves, 4With the noise of many waters. Wonderful are the surges of the sea: wonderful is the Lord on high. 5Thy testimonies are become exceedingly credible: holiness becometh thy house, O Lord, unto length of days.
Psalm 92 of 150

Text: the Douay-Rheims Bible in Bishop Challoner’s revision, public domain, from Project Gutenberg ebook 8300, set unaltered — 150 psalms and 2,528 verses, checked for gaps. Challoner’s own notes are left out, as in the gospels; the summary at the head of each psalm is his and is labelled as his. Psalms are numbered as in the Latin Vulgate, which differs by one from the Hebrew numbering of most modern Bibles for most of the book; each psalm gives both.
