The Book of Psalms Psalm 133

Douay-Rheims · Challoner revision

Challoner’s heading

Ecce nunc benedicite.

Psalm 133 in the Vulgate numbering this edition follows; Psalm 134 in the Hebrew numbering of most modern Bibles.

1A gradual canticle. Behold now bless ye the Lord, all ye servants of the Lord: Who stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God. 2In the nights lift up your hands to the holy places, and bless ye the Lord. 3May the Lord out of Sion bless thee, he that made heaven and earth.
Psalm 133 of 150

Text: the Douay-Rheims Bible in Bishop Challoner’s revision, public domain, from Project Gutenberg ebook 8300, set unaltered — 150 psalms and 2,528 verses, checked for gaps. Challoner’s own notes are left out, as in the gospels; the summary at the head of each psalm is his and is labelled as his. Psalms are numbered as in the Latin Vulgate, which differs by one from the Hebrew numbering of most modern Bibles for most of the book; each psalm gives both.
