The Book of Psalms Psalm 132

Douay-Rheims · Challoner revision

Challoner’s heading

Ecce quam bonum.

Psalm 132 in the Vulgate numbering this edition follows; Psalm 133 in the Hebrew numbering of most modern Bibles.

1A gradual canticle of David. Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity: 2Like the precious ointment on the head, that ran down upon the beard, the beard of Aaron, Which ran down to the skirt of his garment: 3As the dew of Hermon, which descendeth upon mount Sion. For there the Lord hath commanded blessing, and life for evermore.
Psalm 132 of 150

Text: the Douay-Rheims Bible in Bishop Challoner’s revision, public domain, from Project Gutenberg ebook 8300, set unaltered — 150 psalms and 2,528 verses, checked for gaps. Challoner’s own notes are left out, as in the gospels; the summary at the head of each psalm is his and is labelled as his. Psalms are numbered as in the Latin Vulgate, which differs by one from the Hebrew numbering of most modern Bibles for most of the book; each psalm gives both.
